The 802.11g PC Card from Cables To Go is a wireless PC Card that offers 54Mbps data rate with 2.4GHz frequency from the latest IEEE 802.11g Wireless Standard. The 802.11g standard operates in the 2.4Ghz frequency band similar to 802.11b, but provides a throughput of up to 54 Mbps by using a different radio technology in order to boost overall bandwidth. This PC card offers peer-to-peer connection via notebook Ethernet LAN/WAN connection. It is also backward compatible with devices on 802.11b standard and can easily connect to Local Hot Spots. The card is user-friendly, easy to setup, and offers security protection with industry standard WEP (Wired-Equivalency Privacy) 64bit or 128bit encryption.
